License scope for redistributing the pinned q4f16 ONNX export and frontend assets

by soundetch - opened

SoundEtch would like to redistribute a complete local-browser ASR model bundle derived from this Space at revision 245e1e52c6fc01ba065c35b4af884d89cdca60de, in a public, ungated Hugging Face model repository.

The selected upstream files are:

  • onnx-ctc/ctc_conformer_q4f16.onnx (modified graph only)
  • onnx-ctc/ctc_conformer_q4f16.onnx.data (unchanged)
  • onnx-ctc/frontend_config.json (unchanged)
  • onnx-ctc/mel_filters.bin (unchanged)
  • onnx-ctc/stft_window.bin (unchanged)
  • onnx-ctc/vocab.json (unchanged)

The base model card declares Apache-2.0 and this Space's UI labels the model Apache 2.0, but the pinned Space has no standalone LICENSE/NOTICE or license metadata. Could the maintainers confirm that all six selected export/support files may be redistributed under Apache-2.0, and identify any additional attribution, NOTICE, or third-party terms that must accompany them?

Our modification adds frame_ids, token_ids, ctc_scores, and vocab_log_probs outputs and prunes unused graph components. It preserves the original external weights and their exact basename, and will carry a prominent modification notice in the ONNX model docString, plus a full Apache-2.0 LICENSE and an attributed model card/NOTICE. We are not claiming this is a newly trained or fine-tuned model, or that IBM endorses SoundEtch.

We do not intend to redistribute the Space UI/application, punctuator, vendored ONNX Runtime, or other runtime assets in this model bundle. Publication is on hold pending confirmation of the selected export/support-file scope.

This is a licensing clarification request, not a code/model contribution (Not a Contribution).

Hi @soundetch We have updated the license information for the space to Apache 2.0 and confirm that the files that you mentioned have also an Apache 2.0 license. Thank you for considering our model.
