Apply for a GPU community grant: Academic project
This is the first HuggingFace space that allows for flexible creation of satellite embeddings using the open-source BetaEarth model (https://huggingface.co/collections/asterisk-labs/beta-earth) - an emulator of the closed-source AlphaEarth model from Google (https://deepmind.google/blog/alphaearth-foundations-helps-map-our-planet-in-unprecedented-detail/). The GitHub code will be shared in the coming weeks at the time of official release. The weights are already open.
The space can allow the user to automatically read Sentinel-2, Sentinel-1 data and download a series of pixel-wise embeddings for a given area of interest.
This is a non-commercial, open-science project without any external funding.
The demo is built with streamlit because its folium wrapper allows for more flexibility than gradio.
